Yesterday, I damped the mood with 2017’s Bad Bits. Well, today I’d like to cheer things up by focussing on the great things that have happened this year. It’s not been all doom and gloom, we’ve made great strides towards equality and a better environment!
It’s been quite a funny year, hasn’t it? Doesn’t feel quite as sad as 2016, what with everyone who died last year. But I’m not convinced there’s been too much happiness either. It’s been a tough political year for both sides of the Atlantic; I personally have never felt so invested in politics.
With this in mind, I’ve thought of some of the moments of 2017 I think we’d all be quite happy to forget.
I’m really lucky to have grown up spending a lot of Christmasses away from Yorkshire, and away from the UK. Whilst there is no place like home (or my boyfriend’s home, which is where I am this year (our first Christmas together, eek!)) there are some amazing places out there that I would love to visit during Christmas time.
